I need assistance to attend the Get Your Teach 2020 National Conference!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students are enthusiastic learners and they inspire me on a daily basis. They come from a variety of different economic backgrounds and as their teacher I am constantly researching practices in order to help them be successful. They love to learn, explore, create, and work in cooperative groups to achieve their goals. I do not want to manufacture pupils who memorize and repeat back what they learn. Instead, I want to help foster creative, insightful, passionate young learners find their way. Having students who range in ability from severely below grade level to very above grade level it is important to know various ways to help them.
The Get Your Teach On National Conference provides opportunities for learning instructional practices that are directly aligned to standards. These activities introduce best practices to increase your students desire to learn, amp up your academic rigor, and challenge everyone to think beyond the standards!
The Get Your Teach On conference offers a wide variety of break out sessions in math, language arts, STEM, as well as, countless ways to incorporate hands-on learning opportunities in the classroom.
This conference presents research-based strategies that can be incorporated into K-5 classrooms to reach all learners through interactive break out sessions. This project will especially support me in providing meaningful instruction to my multi-ability range of students. I would love to be the first teacher at my school to attend this teacher inspirational conference. I am confident that the knowledge I will gain from this conference will help me to become an even more effective teacher.
