I teach at a rural, Title I school with students from all backgrounds. The majority of my students come from low-income families, with little resources. Even though my students come from a variety of homes, they treat one another like family. They encourage me to try new ideas in the classroom and make me feel like a rock star when I’m in front of the classroom! My students are always up for new challenges; no matter the topic, these little investigators want to know as much as possible and beg for hands-on projects that push the envelope. I hope to continue providing a positive and inclusive classroom where they can keep growing into respectful and responsible little people!
As an educator, I need to constantly grow. Get Your Teach On Nationals is a conference that was created by a group of talented educators because they believe professional development is one of the most important activities a teacher can share with her class. Their mission is to provide teachers with innovative, life-changing, and one-of-a-kind professional development opportunities that can be implemented immediately.
Going to conferences such as Get Your Teach On will support me as an educator, and support my future students.
I know that I will leave this conference feeling refreshed and ready to Get My Teach On! Please help support my students and I in this educational journey.
