I need help covering the costs of the registration fee and lodging while attending "Get Your Teach On." I will learn the most current research based strategies that will help me inspire, motivate, and empower.
In my fourth grade math and science classroom every student is special and valued in their own and unique way. I have taught in the same school district for over 8 years and I've taken joy in being a part of a special school community where students, families, and teachers work together to give all kids a strong social-emotional and academic foundation. We all have the same goal in mind: we want each and every child to make one years growth in one years time. I have gifted students who need enrichment as well as students who are more than two grade levels behind. My hope is to help every one of my students find their passion and go on to use this year as a foundation for their future successes.
It has been a dream of mine as an educator to attend the Get Your Teach on Conference. This conference will allow me to grow professionally in many ways. First, this conference offers a wide variety of break out sessions from math to literacy and endless new ways to incorporate hands-on learning opportunities in the classroom. This conference will present researched based strategies that can be incorporated into K-5 classrooms to reach all learners through interactive and engaging full-day training's.
Educators will be able to share endless ideas of how to better reach students through interactive mini sessions and hands-on learning opportunities during the two days.
I will be able to walk away from the conference with new strategies to share will my school and colleagues.
Sessions include lessons on reading, writing, science & STEM, social studies, and math. Also, with a strong focus of the conference being in math and math manipulatives, this will help me grow in teaching math and learn new ways to present difficult concepts. As a teacher, I am a lifelong learner who is eager for any opportunity to meet other educators and learn from them.
