My AWESOME 4th & 5th graders are from Ketchum, Oklahoma. I have been very fortunate to work at this wonderful school for the past 18 years! We have a special bond here that promotes a social-emotional and strong academic foundation for all students! We all have the same goal in mind: Light that fire in each student that fuels their passion to learn! A large percentage of my students are from very low socio-economic homes. 90 percent of our elementary is free and reduced lunch, therefore, many kids do not have access to innovative ways to learn at home. I want to share with my students the passion I have for teaching by presenting fun and rigorous lessons into ever day learning!
My Project
Thanks to wondertful donors at DonorsChoos.org, my conference cost was fully funded! I get to attend the Houston Regional Conference "Get Your Teach On" February 17-18, 2020!! I want to be part of the movement that changes how a student feels about learning but I first need to get there.

I was very fortunate to attend the Ron Clark Academy in May with some of my colleagues. While there, I learned about this wonderful conference, Get Your Teach On (GYTO)!
I am ready to up my game and be the best educator that I can be! Professional development is the key. I will spend 2 days training with some of today's top educators from around the world. Learning is my passion and I can't wait to learn new techniques, hands on strategies, and rigorous lesson planning skills!
