I need the opportunity to enrich my knowledge of the most current research based strategies in classroom management, reading, technology, social studies, writing and math by attending the Get Your Teach On Conference.
Our classroom is filled with 18 bright and energetic first graders. We are a Title I school with limited materials and limited English proficiency. My students enjoy learning new things, engaging with one another, and laughing.
One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and eighty percent of our students receive free lunch.
Many of our students are English Language Learners (ELL). Despite these challenges, the students are hard working, dedicated to their learning and eager to learn about the world around them. We need your support. Please consider funding our project; we would greatly appreciate it!
Once a learner always a learner. In order to bring the magic to my class and teaching I need to enhance my teaching skills, practices, and build my teacher toolbox. Attending this conference will help give me the tools to engage students, enhance my skills, and build relationships with people who share the same passion as me. Some sessions I intend on attending are Engaging Readers, Set the Stage to Engage, Blast off with Writers Workshop, and Be a Technology Superhero. My students will benefit from me attending these sessions because I will bring what I learn into the class. I will learn new strategies to enhance imagination, creativity, rigor, and discourse within all subjects.
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning, success is no accident!
To keep up with the ever-changing world and new learning of ideas I need to invest in myself so I can bring that knowledge into my classroom to my students and they can in return teach someone else.
