Each day is a new day. As our students file into school in the morning, the air fills with excitement. Their hearts and minds are ready to adjust to a full day of learning and fun! Each day we see an opportunity to make a positive impact in their lives, and we see an opportunity for them to make a positive impact on others. Treat others the way you want to be treated is our motto, but this comes with lots of teaching and practice throughout our day.
I teach in a Title I school that is made of up families who experience living in poverty.
A high percentage of students are on the free or reduced price lunch program. These kids come to school excited to learn and develop social and emotional skills that will help them lead happy and successful lives. As they learn these skills, there are ups and downs, but we make sure to use diverse situations as learning experiences to have a positive effect on each and every student.
My Project
These binders will make a difference in each of our Kindergarten students by providing them the opportunity to keep all their poems in one spot that is easily ready for them to read when doing Read to Self. It will enhance their ability to develop the Concept of Word in their poems because they can read them each and everyday all in one spot.
Organization is key to success!
We will use these binders to help us also organize our Lucy Units of Writing - the binders will assist us in being able to see the checklists in the view binder and keep us neat and tidy so we can WRITE WRITE WRITE.
