Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The equipment and resources I am asking for are to help expand my students horizons on what an active lifestyle can look like. At the moment, I am currently operating without a gymnasium and a limited equipment inventory. What we as a program are lacking in resources, our students make up for with an open mind and positive attitude. The nets, racquet sports, and team sports equipment requested will be used to help expose my students to sports and activities they may not have access to on a regular basis.
By donating to our project, you'll not only be helping build our middle school P.E.
Program, but helping our students learn about various lifelong activities that will promote a healthy and active lifestyle. I believe a well rounded P.E. program not only develops students motor skills, but helps alleviate stress and create a positive mental health space for students. This project is not only designed for one class, but roughly all 200 of my middle school students I will see throughout the year and for years to come.
