Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are awesome! They are five and six year old children, coming to school for a full day for the first time. They come with different levels of knowledge and experiences. They are eager to learn and love school. New technology inside a classroom can make a big difference.
Most of my students have not worked with a NOW Interactive Board.
This form of technology is new and exciting for all of them. It allows students to work at a level that is appropriate for them, which engages students. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area in California, and it is also limited in resources to provide our teachers and students with what we need.
My Project
My students face unique learning challenges and it is my hope to help them by providing interactive classroom materials, which can help make learning fun! Having this wonderful interactive software will be of great assistance to my students - not only will they gain interactive skills, but they will also use their turn taking skills, social skills, and cognitive reasoning. We will utilize the interactive software to help us succeed with the new common core standards. Thank you so much for your donation!
