Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a low income community, I work for a title I school and they get free breakfast and lunch. They are always eager to learn.
My students are a blessing to the world.
I have 17 students in my class this year. I have a great group this year and they are very ambitious in their learning. This is a dual language classroom where they learn to read and write in both english and spanish.
My students love learning new things everyday and we learn in the process. I want to be able to give them all the resources available to them. They should have access to materials and different resources to improve their learning.
My Project
There is this program provided by the district that is a very good resource of my students to start usings their phonemic awareness. unfortunately it was not helping my kids until they fix their glitches and upgraded their program. By january my students started using the online program and they loved it. The only thing is that we only have to computers in my room and it's hard for all my kids to use the software.
This program only works on certain devices.
I heard from another teacher that the program works well on these tablets and they are easy to use since they are small and not very heavy.
My students are willing and and are eager to learn that's why I'm trying to get them the resources they need to get that learning in gear and get them ready for kinder. They love this online program so much that they ask for it every day but I can only help two kids at a time.
If we get these tablets they can practice their readings skills and other skills like math and science since there is other apps that can be used in the tablets.
