Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a pre-k teacher in a major urban area. We are a community school, and I would like for my students to know what it is like to be a part of the community. Our students are very curious, and we want them to increase their curiosity.
My students love to draw, especially with paint. We are running very low on paint and we would love to get more for the classroom.
We would appreciate any help with getting art supplies for our art area.
My Project
My students love to paint pictures and having the paint will definitely make sure that they will continue to make pictures that their parents will love to put on the refrigerator. When doing our small groups we use a lot of construction paper and with that we use art supplies like the pom poms. When I tell you that my students love to use glitter, they love to use glitter. I like to hang up their work around the room and all of the art supplies that we receive will help not only me but them become the budding artists that I know that they want to be.
