My students need 1 inch binders and a label maker to label the binders. This may seem silly, but with Hurricane Harvey washing away most of our families' belongings, these items will help our students.

My Students

Our students are unique. The young adults at our small high school have heart: they have manners, they care, and they want to help others. Hurricane Harvey's flood waters literally wiped out many of our students homes, vehicles, and dreams. During this school year, many of our students are living in unfavorable conditions--whether they are temporarily staying in travel trailers, in hotels, in other family members' homes, the students are still coming to our high school ready to help others.

My Project

The requested 1 inch binders will help our students to be organized! Notebooks help the students with projects, speeches, resumes, etc., for college and career readiness. Hopefully, the binders will help ease the burden of school supply shopping for parents and guardians still struggling to recover from Hurricane Harvey.

The one inch binders and label maker requested will assist our families--they will be able to use the time spent shopping to rebuild their homes, their yards, and their lives.

The notebooks are required for my professional communications course for high school students. Thank you for helping Orangefield students get organized!
