My school is located in DeWitt, MI and it serves families who reside in DeWitt and Lansing. Our school provides preschool education services for low-income students.
Our purpose is to provide a comprehensive preschool education program to help reduce or eliminate the educational barrier that could interfere with educational achievement in kindergarten and beyond.
Our school uses Creative Curriculum. This approach sets our classroom content based on the students interest and ability. All of our lessons are individualized to fit each child and their unique style of learning. Children learn best when they are truly invested in the topic. The more they can get a hands-on feel, the more information they will retain.
My Project
My students enjoy outside time and they would love to have some colored playground balls, numbered bean bags, and learning letter leaves to hide in the sandbox.
My students would benefit from some new playground materials that would help them get out and get moving!
The playground balls, bean bags, and ball toss will help sharpen their gross motor skills. My students will also learn sharing and cooperative play skills with these materials. The letter leaves and foam numbers and letters will make for a fun way to incorporate academic learning into their play. I am always looking for ways to embed learning into all parts of their day so I know the foam letters and numbers will be a great way to sneak some learning into outdoor time.
