My students need flexible seating options to help them corral their energy while focusing on their learning and these wobble chairs will help to do just that.

My Students

I work with a group of energetic and charismatic seven year olds. My students come from various backgrounds and cultures, many speak different languages at home and they have a range of economic statuses.

One thing they all have in common is their wonderfully energetic spirit and love of learning.

These young brains come to school each day excited about learning! Sometimes their excitement is difficult to contain which is why I choreograph our school day with movement throughout the day.

My Project

I would love to provide these wonderful wobble chairs for my students to use throughout the day. Focusing during the school day is an issue for all kiddos at this age. Research has shown that being able to move during instruction and work time helps children focus.

These wobble chairs will help my students address their movement needs and help them focus on their school work at the same time!

In my plan, all of my students will have the opportunity to work while sitting on these wobble chairs through a scheduled rotation time. These chairs will be set up at one of my literacy/math rotation tables. By scheduling this rotation, I will be able to provide twenty to thirty minutes each day for each child to get their wiggles out while learning.

I love finding creative ways to make school fun and engaging for all of my kiddos and this will be one way to do just that!
