Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our 8th grade class in Durham is comprised of very vibrant students who are ready to gain the skills, knowledge, and character necessary to be successful at the colleges of their choice. Our students come from financially disadvantaged homes in hopes to be the first to attend college.

Despite all the challenges, all 100 of our students are eager and ready to do what it takes to become a success in their community and world.

I want all my students to know that despite their economic background, gender and race they can achieve anything and everything they set their mind to. As their teacher, I am deeply committed to ensuring that my students have the tools and the skills necessary to make this happen.

My Project

The 3 ring binders and binder organizers will help my students become organized and learn the importance of organization. Most of my students are unable to find handouts from the day before or misplace their homework because they don't have somewhere to place them. The paper will be used to print worksheets and homework so my students have materials to review.

Along with the binders the paper, pencils and organizers will help my kids have material to study in hopes of increasing their scores.

My students will benefit greatly from these products. Please consider helping our classroom by donating to this project.
