This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is a high poverty school. All of our students are on free and reduced lunches and we are very limited in resources and materials. Even though we face many challenges in our school, my students are bright children who love to learn and come to school with smiles on their faces every day. My students often tell me that they love coming to school to learn new things! They also love writing stories about their favorite characters from different book series.

My Project

I envision I will grow professionally by attending this conference by learning many new strategies to engage my students. I have always wanted to attend this conference and it has been a long time dream of mine. I would like to learn the leave us and best strategies to engage my students and get them all on grade level. My main goal for attending this conference to learn ways to scaffold instruction for English language learners and make a real world in meaningful connections. I feel that when students can make real-world connections in there Learning, it makes it more meaningful and relevant to their daily lives.
