My amazing students live in a rural area, and more than half survive below the poverty line. My classroom is an inclusion class. This means that I teach students with disabilities along with their typically developing peers.
I learn as much from my students as they learn from me.
Despite the challenges my students face from learning difficulties, poverty, and living in the heart of the opioid crisis, they continue to have good attitudes. They are eager to learn. I want to fill their space with the tools that help them to have the same opportunities as children in more prominent areas. My students deserve every advantage.
My Project
Get Your Teach On is a phenomenal professional development conference that promises to reignite the passion that educators have for teaching.
Teachers should be inspired so that they can inspire their students.
Get Your Teach On has a plethora of speakers who share skills, strategies, and ideas. They renew a teacher’s love of their craft by celebrating them and what they do.
The purpose of The Get Your Teach On Conference is to inspire motivation and growth in my students. My classroom is an inclusion classroom with a diverse population. I need to learn strategies to bring literacy to life for these wonderful children. The theme of GYTO is to inspire me to motivate my students to learn. The skills I will walk away with with help me to be a more inspiring and engaging teacher. I will learn ways to be both fun and rigorous while delivering instruction. I will be able to cultivate peer collaboration and 21st century skills.
This project is the for the transportation costs associated with this conference. It includes both gas to travel to Charolotte, North Carolina and food expenses while I’m there. Thank you for helping me get to this conference so that I can get my own teach on!
