Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a low income school, yet my students have high hopes. They are curious about the world and love to learn. We are working hard at our low income, under-resourced school. The students have been focused and motivated in the classroom and have made great progress. They are inquiring, active kids who are interested in the world around them.
Now I'd like to expand my learning so that I can continue to expand their learning.
It's time to go to the annual Get Your Teach On conference.
My Project
The Get Your Teach On Conference is run by 2 of the most passionate teachers in our field, Deanna Jump and Hope King. They bring their passion to the conference by sharing how they engage students, meet the content standard requirements, build motivation and create a viable, positive learning community. These research-based best practices will help me create an environment where students can work to their highest potential, not matter what barriers to success may exist in their lives.
Being a teacher means also being a learner.
I want to continue to improve my practice so that I am also working to my fullest potential.
