Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students represent a good cross-section of the population of Northern California.
Our school serves students across a spectrum of socioeconomic backgrounds, religions and ethnicities. We have many migrant and military families. It is quite a diverse place! We are working to become a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) school and have made great strides each year in the district science fair. When we introduce our students to maker spaces, their eyes light up! I am proud to work at such an inclusive and dynamic school!

Get Your Teach On Nationals 2020 will provide me with new and engaging ways to reach and teach all my students this year and for many years to come!
With ever-dwindling budgets and other educational cuts, it is nearly impossible to secure conference budget assistance, they are usually the first to get cut. This national conference of GYTO will be the first time I can use my summer to enhance my learning and teaching!
