I need to attend the "Get Your Teach On" Summer Conference in San Diego, CA. I will be attending with colleagues and learn strategies to energize, teach, and inspire my students for years to come!

My Students

Each day my students walk through the door holding "Hope" in their hands. "Hope" that they will be recognized for their uniqueness, have time to cultivate their learning, and thrive in an environment where taking risks is encouraged. As my "scholars" enter "Scholar University," they find this atmosphere and more.

Our key philosophy is "Experiment, Fail, Learn, Iterate" and helps to foster the Growth Mindset needed to create successful learners in today's society.

With our 1:1 iPad program, we have been working to help share our learning with the world and want to continue to do so. Your contribution will help tremendously with this.

My Project

After twenty-two years of teaching, I'm ALWAYS looking for new ideas, strategies, and ways to get students excited about learning. To find inspiration, I've gone to social media sites, colleagues, and books. I've heard this is one of the BEST conferences to skyrocket that inspiration and is presented by two nationally acclaimed educational authors.

Being a local conference, I couldn't imagine not being able to attend to inspire myself and those future and current scholars in my class.

It becomes a win-win opportunity. I will start off the 2018-19 school year fired up with good ideas, but also the renewed spirit to change the world as we know it!
