My students need Sports equipment for Physical Education class. Getting necessary equipment and materials will ensure all students will participate in pe class and continue to be physically active outside of school.

My Students

I teach all girls for health and physical education. Sometimes it's hard to very girls interested in physical education and even harder when the teacher didn't have necessary materials and equipment. I've been able to get 167 students to dress out for PE at least 80% of the semester. My girls deserve awesome equipment that will grab their attention and make them want to be active in and out of school. Students learn more when they're having fun and it's my job to ensure success by providing proper materials.

My Project

Students will be able to participate in a variety of sports and activities that may affect their daily lifestyle. Students will also improve sports performance with specified equipment. I teach all girls and most of my students don't know much about sports. With new equipment for activities, my students will participate, become more engaged, and overall have fun stepping out of their comfort zone. There are many sports and activities they do not know about. With proper materials, I'm able to introduce new sports and activities to my students. It is my job to make sure my students have what they need in order to be successful and DonorsChoose.org can make it possible! The PE department is in need balls, hula hoops, and cones for a variety of activities such as basketball, handball, dodgeball, football, frisbee, and many more. The agility kit I'm requesting for will assist when teaching students about Skill Related Fitness Components. It will allow them also to experience aspects of different sports and possibly reveal an interest in team sports.
