My students need hands-on learning centers with math games, read to self whisper phones, flexible bands to get wiggles out and more necessary center materials.
My little first graders are super sweet! Their hearts are in the correct place when it comes to school. They are ready to learn in fun and exciting ways!
My school is in the heart of Oklahoma.
First graders are at the age when they are constantly asking questions, observing and pointing out all the little details. Being my first time to teach this grade level at my new school, I will need help getting the correct supplies for my classroom that our school district can't provide.
My Project
This will be my second year to teach first grade. I need your help with growing my learning centers. In this project, you will see books, math games and chair bands to get the wiggles out and center supplies.
The project will create eight more centers for my students!
The materials will provide a word work center where the students will use the play-doh alphabet cutters to practice our sight words and spelling words. We will also use the hundreds chart game to practice counting and recognizing our numbers 1-120.
We also know that first graders have a hard time sitting still in one spot. Therefore, one of the items are chair bands for my students that could use extra wiggling in their seats. This will help them focus on the lesson at hand.
