My Project

Asking groups of 2-3 to stand at whiteboards, share ideas, listen to others, notice, wonder, build consensus, fosters engagement by everyone. My junior high mathematicians are developing the communication and social skills that they will need to be successful as future adults that contribute to society. The traditional sitting in rows and taking notes while the teacher talks and students mimic is not maximizing the potential of our students.

Please help us get the necessary supplies to continue building our thinking classroom.

The choice of washable dry erasers and refillable whiteboard markers was a conscientious decision to help the environment with less waste going into the landfill.
