Help me give my students the organization they need. My students crave stability and order from their environment. With these products, we will have routines that can be self-monitored and more cohesive.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school has a chance to break cycles and push back on preconceived notions that society has placed on them. We live in a world that is scary for immigrant, people of color, and anyone who doesn't fit into the specific mold has been deemed acceptable. I refuse to adhere to this. My students can do anything. They belong in school, they belong in the community, and they are our future.
I serve as a teacher in a Title I school full of hopes and dreams but limited by resources.
This is where you come in. I hope to use this platform to create spaces for my kids to dream big, make mistakes, and grow. Most of our students are ESL/Bilingual, which makes them valuable assets in our community who need targeted instruction and support. Our school is full of strong teachers who work tirelessly to refine their practice and classrooms, and I am excited to work alongside them. Our parents and guardians are hungry for their students to succeed and are eager for tools and training to help in this endeavor.
My Project
Much of our day hinges on our morning meeting, where we have our morning message. We need to erase the message to use our projector, making it difficult to refer back to it. With the new mat, we can remove and revisit the message.
Items in our classroom that seem so simple often have a huge impact on student behavior and engagement with materials and peers.
Trays provide a visual and physical boundary to the work students do throughout the day- whether it is using paint or counting mini dinosaurs. Currently, we have 4 trays that are too deep for the students to utilize for common activities like rolling playdough or gluing. With only four, we need to pick and chose which area needs them, creating instability with regards to expectations.
