Help me give my students organizational tools needed to keep our math and literacy centers readily available for those days when seat work just doesn't work!
My students are K-8 special education students who have extremely diverse and varying educational needs. My students require differentiated instruction and creative learning techniques. My students thrive on routines, organization and pre-planning that is done with their best interest in mind.
My students are optimistic and ready to learn, especially when learning is fun!
Our classroom is most productive when we can learn and adjust on the fly. Sometimes seatwork works, sometimes it doesn't. Having the tools I need to be organized allows me to adjust to my students' need, even in the matter of seconds!
My Project
These tools will be used to organize our math and literacy centers so that our classroom can be as flexible as needed.
Having hands-on, movement-based centers has promoted incredible amounts of learning!
Being able to organize these and have them ready to go, at the drop of a hat, will allow me to switch it up on those days when worksheets and seatwork just won’t cut it!
Centers have totally changed the way I teach and the way my students learn. My students are showing measurable progress and they’re having fun doing it! Although these materials are simple, they’ll help me become a much more organized and prepared teacher. Not only will I be able to quickly grab prepped centers (each plastic envelope will hold all the contents for one center), my students will also be able to easily choose educational activities for free time! The book bins will help keep our envelopes organized by grade level and content area.
