This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students enjoy those days when I give them a project that allows them to work in small groups. Having these tools (Intro to simple machines wheels, axles & include planes) would help my students with communication and team building skills. I enjoy history and having the students work with simple machines gives me a chance to throw in a short history lesson on how these tools came to be. I want to direct my students to think more about the engineering design process, so I am always looking for tools to get their minds moving in that direction. Thank you Ms. Dunagan
