My students need Magnetic Fishing Poles, Connect 4 , Reading Comprehension Games Library along with a few other activities to have fun with learning, literacy, and school!
We are a Title 1 building and my students are primarily Title 1 qualified. Many of them come to school for breakfast and lunch, and learning is an after thought. I would like to make learning literacy fun. They are trying to get their basic needs met and that doesn't leave much energy left over for fun. Many are used to plugging in on a smart phone, but interactive educational play with other people falls short. Let's unplug and engage!
My Project
My students often find learning a chore. I would like for them to look forward to coming to school, not just for a breakfast and lunch provided to them, but also to have fun and engage in learning. If they can unplug and interact with through laughter and play, literacy and cooperation can go hand in hand.
The Magnetic Fishing Poles, Connect 4 , Reading Comprehension Games Library, are literacy games that I am requesting will give my students opportunities for positive play and literacy development.
I would like to give them a chance to see that they can come not just to get their basic needs for food met, but also the need for human interaction will enrich their time at school. Let's make learning literacy fun and school a kind place to be.
