Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are amazing people who are so eager to learn! Kindergarten is an essential year in a child's life. Together, we create a community of diverse individuals who are strengthening ways to cope with their feelings and emotions, problem solve with others, strengthen their independence and finding the best methods and tools for academics. Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths and sometimes all it takes is exposure or motivation. Every year I get so excited to see the all the various strengths my students have!
My Project
Students will feel empowered over their learning and processing needs. With flexible seating students can choose a unique seat that feels just right for them where they can learn best and work comfortably. Beyond physical education, recess and movement breaks, flexible seating allows them to wobble, rock, bounce, and or lean in a safe way that can increase blood flow and core strength which allows their young minds to stay alert and focused! With these new seats, we will be able to provide our students with safe movement choices at their tables or a safe spot around the classroom. Each student will have the opportunity to try each new seat!
