This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our District is in one of the most dangerous cities in the US. School is typically the only safe haven these kids know.

Approximately all of our students receive free breakfast and lunch five days a week.

Our schools, for a variety of reasons, lack the resources to provide these amazing kids with the education they deserve. By investing in these kids, you're giving them the opportunity to dream of a better future for themselves and their families. They are very eager to utilize all new technology in the 21st century.

My Project

By having fitness equipment in our school, our students will have access to materials that will enhance and help promote a healthy lifestyle. This equipment, which includes exercise mats and cart, will give students the opportunity to participate in fitness activities before, during, and after school. Implementing these tools into our school culture will provide students with an alternative outlet to keep them off the streets.

By focusing on safe fitness activities, students will learn proper form and technique.

My students have already show their enjoyment of physical activity and this equipment will help to strengthen basic fitness skills to promote a healthy and safe lifestyle.
