My students need flexible seating options! After implementing a few flexible seating options in our classroom, we have seen students feel more comfortable, more engaged, and have experienced an ease in transition in our classroom.
Students in Ms. Dalton's class have a thirst to learn. They are always asking questions, saying why and what if, and love to read. Their curiosity always amazes me and pushes me to be a better teacher for them. We like to learn, but we like to have fun as well. We treat each other like we treat family!
We live in a town where community is always valued.
Just like community is invaluable to the citizens of this city, it is in also invaluable to our classroom. We support each other, we cheer each other on, and we help each other be better!
My Project
Having an increased number options in our classroom will help us increase the engagement in our classroom. When students feel more comfortable, they are more engaged. Having more students being engaged means there is less distraction and more learning can occur.
Using flexible seating is a big, scary leap for this first year teacher, but it is a leap my students need me to make, and a leap I need your help making.
My students show me every day they want to break out of their confining desks and explore new ways to learn. I alone can not provide all of this for them. I love them and want to give them what they are showing me they need, but I need help! I've ventured out on my own, but am falling short. Help to make our classroom what we need it to be!
