This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are proud members of a magnet school in an inner-city school district. We all work together to investigate various issues globally and locally by means of magnet studies and STEM research. Students at our school are excited about learning and creating a community to be proud of. We are always looking for ways to enhance the lives of our family. We truly are a family with many siblings and relatives throughout the building!

Most of the students in our school are excited to engage in project-based learning and magnet themed instruction.

STEM infusion will be a huge focus for our staff, students and families this year! Our students enjoy service projects, partnerships between other local schools and even a little athletic rivalry to keep our competitive spirits up.

My Project

As we infuse more inquiry and project based learning in our Discovery Lab, messes happen and currently the kids have to go to the Nurses office or down the hallway to go to wash their hands. This takes away time from creating and from being able to teach.

A portable sink would be a wonderful addition to the Discovery Lab to help the kids stay in the classroom and have more time at creating.

Help the kids at our school get a portable sink and create more amazing projects! Students will be able to use their 5 senses to touch materials and glue to put things together without fear of tracking mess outside of the lab.
