My Students

As a first year ELA teacher, it's my goal to provide my students with the necessary materials to enhance their academic abilities and facilitate their comprehension. I have a diverse group of students from military families that need a welcoming and supportive classroom environment. My students are faced with many challenging circumstances that pertain to military life including family separation, transitions, and other life changing events, which ultimately have an impact on students' academic performance.

My students love learning and flourish when given the opportunity to try new things.

I believe in providing them with a safe place to grow and giving them all the necessary resources to accomplish this!

My Project

I would love to provide my students with a comfortable area in the classroom for their reading experience. The rug would be the first step in giving my students a calming environment, where they can just enjoy a good book!

I want to give my students a place free of distractions so they may open a book and see all the exciting adventures that awaits them.

Sitting in a chair at a desk all day can make it very difficult to focus and want to find enjoyment in reading. By providing my class with this bright and cheerful rug, they will be excited to have a new place to relax and get the opportunity to find a love for reading.
