My students need Airtame to visually see and follow what I do on the Chromebooks while they are learning how to use the Chromebooks and applications.
Although only 4000 people reside in our community, our middle school serves 450 students. Rural in nature, we are the largest community and one of two school districts located in our county.
Approximately 300 of the 450 students at our school are eligible for free or reduced lunch.
Although our community struggles financially, students want to come to school. During the 2016-17 school year, we had an attendance rate of 95.4%!
Our students enjoy cooperative learning experiences in many classes.
Our 7th grade classroom, serving approximately 140 students, just transitioned to Chromebooks this year. We are learning new things daily to make education interactive, educational, and fun. In the process of teaching Chromebooks, I found that I could not effectively teach the Chromebook functions without being able to connect to our projector for the SmartBoard.
Airtame seems to be the solution to CONNECT our Chromebooks to the SmartBoard Projector.
I have been in touch with Midwest Education Technology Community members, and they recommended AirTame which is a wireless device that plugs into the HDMI port of any screen or projector and streams your content to the screen from a computer or mobile device.
Not only will I be able to project what I am doing on my chromebook, students will be able to CONNECT to the projector, as well, to showcase their projects directly from their Chromebook.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
