Help me give my students comfortable seating and a book display shelf to encourage reading and engaged learning. By setting up unique learning areas, the children will look forward to working in their special learning nooks!
My students love to learn! Being in a Montessori classroom with multiple ages, there are numerous opportunities throughout the day for them to collaborate, problem solve, help, and inspire each other. I am amazed each day at what these children teach me about compassion and understanding. Despite the many different backgrounds they come from and the different abilities they possess, it is a joy to watch them each day as they come together to share ideas and learn from one another. One of my favorite things to witness is the kindness and patience they exhibit when someone needs help and another student steps up to make sure that everyone feels that they are a part of our community.
It is my goal to give my students a welcoming, inviting and safe space to explore and learn new things. By setting up different learning nooks in the classroom and providing flexible seating, the students will not only have a welcoming environment to learn in, but it will also provide a much needed option for those kinesthetic learners who require more movement in the classroom to promote engaged learning.
Flexible seating provides children with a sense of empowerment, choice and control in the classroom environment.
By allowing students to choose where they want to work, they will feel empowered to make choices that will benefit themselves and their learning. Flexible seating creates a more engaging, active, and relaxed learning environment!
