My Students

This is my fourth year teaching middle school. I love it!

I would like to create an environment with alternative seating for our classroom to provide comfortable spaces for students to work independently, in groups and as a large group.

My Project

Every day, students in my classroom participate in Reading Workshop. They love to settle in and read. Optional seating options will bring comfort and relaxation to the workshop. Students that struggle to engage while sitting in traditional desks will have another option. Brock and Braxten will have a space to wiggle comfortably. Kayla will smile to herself as she settles in with her book. Every time a student has a chance, they will ask for this seating.

Middle schoolers are tough on equipment and sturdy options are a must!

We will be using this seating all day every day. The option of different seating throughout the day is appreciated by students.
