This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love each and every scholar I have the joy of teaching. My school is majority African Americans. My scholars come from challenging environments, which would seem to be a hindrance, however, it pushes them to excel even more. Some of my scholars have some type of learning disability, struggle to manage their emotions and master grade level skills. That does not stop them from wanting to learn and being excited about it. Each has its own learning style which makes them unique and allows me to creatively reach them. I want to eliminate as many barriers as possible to establish meaningful and creative avenues to foster their learning journey.
My Project
Returning this school year to traditional learning will be a new experience for some. I want to ensure we are all safe as possible while continuing to navigate through a global pandemic. The wipes and spray will be utilized to sanitize commonly used items in our workspace. The goal is still the same, to prepare the scholars to be lifelong learners, however in a safer environment. The masks will be utilized for my students to wear during the instructional day. With the focus still being to assist all students in acquiring skills, knowledge, and attitudes needed to become effective students, responsible citizens, and productive members of society.
