Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I school and my new students come from low-income families, and face many battles every day.
I teach a fun, energetic group of second graders with a love of learning.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of experiences to the classroom. They enjoy learning and are always ready and eager to explore and learn something new. Students take an active role in learning by exploring and using their critical thinking skills daily. With students returning to school, I find it important to give them the best learning opportunity I can.
For many students, school is sometimes the most consistent part of their day. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been very consistent. I have great pride in my students. My school is located in a rural area. They are my top priority. The safety of my students is of the utmost importance.
My Project
I am creating this project with the goal of student health in mind. Cleaning items for our classroom will make all of the difference in a school where germs are easily spread.
Using these supplies daily will allow students to stay in the classroom where I can use the Lysol spray to clean up their desks as needed.
The Lysol spray will help to kill airborne and surface germs. The Swiffer mop will be useful to keep students protected while socially distancing.
We thank you in advance for any contribution, big or small, that you can give towards a healthy classroom.
