I teach in a full day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Regardless of what's happening at home, these children come to school cheerful, eager, and energetic to learn and explore new things. I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding.
I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.
My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged and passionate about learning because these young children are the future.

My Project
When the seasons change students will likely get sick because of the weather. The cold virus can replicate more rapidly when the temperature is colder. Having sufficient cleaning supplies and Kleenex in the classroom will help prevent the spread of germs within the classroom.
When students are sick it can affect their attendance and learning.
Therefore; I am requesting for Kleenex, Clorox wipes, air freshener, and hand soap for my students. The Clorox wipes will be used to clean the tables, toys, and surfaces around the classroom. The Kleenex will be place around the classroom so that students can use when they need to clean their little nose. The hand soap will be at the sinks so that students can wash their hands after blowing their nose, going to the bathroom, after coming in from recess, and before eating. We will use the air freshener to spray the classroom and bathroom when students have accidents so that there will be no smelly odor. I hope that you can help me teach my students why it is important to keep the classroom clean and ourselves clean so that we can stay healthy.
