This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love that my students have remained flexible during this challenging time. They keep an open mind about their academic experience. My AVID students are mature enough to reach out to their teachers when needed and to keep track of their assignments to ensure all of their work is submitted on time. During call discussions, they are insightful and understanding. AVID students are working on developing a bond which allows them to collaborate and assist each other when needed. In My sixth grade ELA classes I admire the efforts of students to assist each other in the learning process.
My Project
Many students are nervous about returning to school. Having hand sanitizer and tissues available in the classroom will certainly help to calm some of the anxiety students have about returning to the classroom.
In the winter months students often come into school coughing and sneezing.
Tissue and sanitizer will help us to learn in a germ-free zone. When the spring/allergy season arrives we need to be prepared for even more coughing and sneezing. Having tissues and hand sanitizer will certainly help to decrease the chance of students spreading germs to other students.
