My students need to take home printed Geometric terms, assignments and modeled examples to translate in their own languages to prepare them for the next days lesson and also reinforce what has been learned.
My students are English language learners.
They are very determined to learn. Most of them come from various refugee camps all over the world. They need a lot of support to be able to learn and I do not have books for each one fo them to take home. They attend the public school system in a city school in PA.
Providing me with printing paper will enable me to deliver my geometry lesson in a smooth way. My learners will be able to take home printed homework assignments, modeled examples and defined geometric terms. This will reinforce their skills, give them confidence to participate in class and also prepare them for their state and school district wide exams. They have already performed very well in their first benchmark exam because I had a box of printing paper which is given to us for the whole school year. I have already exhausted mine in less then three months into this academic school year.
Donations to these request will make a very big difference in the lives of my English language learners because they will be able to learn more in my classroom.
I will be able to deliver more instruction instead of having my students copy from the board throughout the lesson since I will have made copies for them to take home. The broad impact will be that my students will be able to file all these printed papers to use them for revision and enable them to prepare well for their tests and pass.
