My students need hands on materials to assist with their geometry lessons.

My Students

The multitude of students that walk into my classroom each day are very energetic students. These students love to have fun in class, but are not exceptionally crazy about learning math the traditional way. They love working in groups and playing math games that I have created for them.

When these students are able to have hands-on math activities, then they are able to connect the material more successfully than without it.

These students are very kinesthetic learners and need movement frequently throughout the lessons.

My Project

Students will be able to manipulate their own protractors to find the angle of their triangle. My students learn best from having hands on experiences, which most of the time require manipulatives that are not always in the budget for their teacher.

The geometric solids sets will allow the students to hold each type of shape in their hands and be able to trace them on their paper.

The solids that have the geometric nets inside them will help tremendously with teaching nets to students as they will be able to have a visual aid to see the shape unfold into the net.
