My Students

My students are lucky enough to live in a small, rural town on the Central Coast. They are a kind-hearted group that cares about the environment and their community. Some of them have 4H animals that they show at the Mid-State Fair, and live on small ranches.

I'm lucky that my students are completely engaged during art.

Geometry can be a challenging subject for 4th graders, but teaching it through the medium of art makes it my students' favorite topic.

My Project

I'm creating a space to explore 4th grade geometry with tools, and art. Exploring angles in 4th grade need to a hands on activity. These supplies will allow my students a space to create, measure, and differentiate kinds of angles and shapes. The Wiki Sticks are a simple yet engaging activity to explore angles and shapes. They are fun and easy to clean up.

An organized space for math centers is necessary for any classroom.

I've previously purchased some of these Norco stools for my classroom, and I love them. You can fit more students around a table using these stools, instead of our outdated, large and dusty chairs. Also, these stools are compact enough to use around the room for flexible seating options.
