Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Geometry is fun! Especially with High School students who have very diverse backgrounds at a high-minority, multi-cultural school in Southern Arizona.

With the current district budget crunch, the only geometry tools my students have been and will be able to use are the ones that break after 2 or 3 uses. This is very frustrating to students who really want to construct and investigate geometry principles, instead of just reading theorems from a book.

My students want to create! They want to explore theorems! The GeoLegs are a great tool! Being a combination protractor and compass, it's two tools in one. They are also virtually in-destructible!

Your help will ensure that my students are able to do hands-on geometric activities. The will be able to see geometry like they have never seen it before. Since they link together to create multi-sided polygons, you will make it possible for my students to answer questions like "what does a 100 sided polygon look like"?
