This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school serves a multicultural, diverse student population in grades preK-5. While we provide rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment, we need to expose more students to the arts through musical theater.
Our large English as a Second Language Learner population would benefit from the kinesthetic, visual, and auditory learning modalities employed in musical theater.
Below, you will see a photo of my students working diligently to brainstorm about creating rubrics to evaluate performances. Please help! Thanks!

Genie, Grant Me Three Wishes!
Genie, We need a follow spotlight for Aladdin!
Aladdin will be coming soon to our stage, and the students couldn't be more excited! To really dazzle and amaze our audience, a follow spotlight is needed so our little budding performers can shine on stage.
Seeing is believing, but our audience needs to hear and see the talented stars on "A Magic Carpet Ride," in "A Whole New World," with a new fantastic point of view.
Of course, we can't wait to put on our show, but we know that no matter how great the acting, being heard and seen makes a good show a fantastic show. The right technical equipment is needed to be the cherry on top for what promises to be an awesome production.
