My Students

My classroom is rarely quiet. My goal everyday is to get the students engaged in an activity that will challenge them and reinforce concepts. We hit bumps along the way but we "keep moving forward."

My school is made up of dedicated teachers, supportive parents and positive learners.

We all work hard everyday to give our students the best education so that they are successful in life. My classroom has a wide range of learning levels. Science materials that allow for differentiation are greatly needed to enhance instruction.

My Project

DNA is a difficult concept to understand. The K'Nex offer the students an opportunity to visualize the patterns of DNA with hands-on material. The idea that the students can make different strands opens up the door for learners to grasp the concept. Further, multiple levels of learners can be reached with such resources.

This donation of materials will help meet the needs of many students.

The idea that the students will construct DNA combines engineering and biology. Both of these skills are useful in assisting the students with future career opportunities.
