My Students

Ah, middle school - that in-between time when you aren't quite a little kid and not quite that responsible young adult. People have a tendency to roll their eyes when they think of middle school aged kids, but I can attest that these kids are amazing!

My students crave opportunities to function in the "real world" - not just practice on paper.

They are looking for ways to connect their interests to what they are learning at school. It's truly all about building the connections!

My Project

Our Media Communications class is tasked with creating a weekly newscast for the entire school. The students create a script, film, and edit this newscast. We have 4 groups that rotate in the production of our Eagle News Network.

We are filming with an 8gb iPad - which means we can only have one app and have to immediately delete any footage that we won't be using.

We'd love to have an iPad that has adequate storage for our filming and editing needs! Plus, having 2 iPads in the room will enable more than one project in production at a time!
