Help me give my students literacy learning activities to be able to work on during small groups at school and for me to teach when we are remote learning!
My students are wonderful working 1st graders! They love to do things independently but also work with the teacher just like any other student in 1st grade. My students love to learn new things every day. Anytime something new is introduced to the classroom they get very excited!
Our school is also a low-income-based school.
All of my students come from different backgrounds and different family lifestyles. They may be living with only one parent, grandparents, or maybe even a different relative. No matter what, they love learning new things every day! They always try their best!
My Project
Having new literacy and sight word station resources will allow my students to have more interaction with skills during our small group literacy station time. I have been creating new resources by printing them out, but having hands-on learning tools will help my students build on their 1st Grade skills. It is hard to change the resources out each month because there may not be enough for each student while in that literacy station.
These sight word and literacy station activities will reach all of my students no matter their level of ability!
These resources can also be used for me to teach literacy skills when we are remote learning. Being able to introduce new sight words and literacy games during literacy station time gets the students more excited and eager to learn!
