My students need supplies to start our year off right! We need a license for our great Raz-Kids reading app for our i Pads and general classroom supplies.
Our school is situated in a culturally diverse urban area. Over 90% of our district families qualify for free or reduced lunch. All students may participate in our free breakfast program. Many languages are spoken in our school, as our district is in a major refugee resettlement area. In my classroom alone, 4 different languages are spoken.
My beautiful, bright and energetic students come to school with a challenging variety of needs.
However, one thing they all need are engaging apps and fun learning activities to help them progress at on their individual levels during independent work time.
My Project
We need to be engaged in learning! One key way that we stay engaged is by using markers and white boards or chart paper. The students love to write with markers! We need markers and chart paper to keep our Morning Meeting work and our Center Time work full of fun, active learning! In addition, the students love doing individualized reading work on the app Raz-Kids. We need a renewed license so that next year's second graders can have fun while they read and learn at their individual reading level.
With our new supplies we hope to keep students actively enjoying learning!
When students come to a classroom that is well set up and ready for learning, they naturally feel better prepared to face the school day. This sense of "we're ready to learn" will our help class be successful learners.
