I am lucky enough to work with 29 amazing, hilarious, and kind 5th graders everyday. I am a first year teacher that is trying to be a sponge and soak up every learning opportunity to make myself a better teacher, as well as enhance each of my student's learning experiences.
I am all about student engagement and making learning fun.
I want my students to love coming to school each and every day, just like I do. I have a classroom full of diverse learners from a variety of backgrounds. It is the best feeling seeing these diverse learners work together and be kind to one another every day I go to work.
My Project
The funding of this project would provide me the chance to learn and grow as an educator in a once of a lifetime opportunity. I will be paired with a host teacher from Australia, who will share their classroom with me while I'm there.
Not only will I benefit from this experience, but my students back in Montana will, as well.
Immersing myself in classrooms all the way around the world will allow me to acquire new teaching strategies, expand my network of teachers to collaborate with, and receive professional development. In addition, my host teacher and I will create a project that we can do between our two classrooms. This will allow my students to be able to learn in a more authentic way through collaborating with students on the other side of the world.
