My Students

I teach an integrated Kindergarten classroom with typical students and students with identified disabilities. My students come from a variety of backgrounds and family situations and my goal is to always make my classroom feel comfortable and safe. Our school is located in a large city in the Northeast.

My sixteen Kindergarten students will enter this year ready to learn and I want to provide them with all the tools they need.

I cannot wait to meet my new students and get started discovering the world around us!

My Project

As a class community, we gather at the carpet multiple times a day. We have morning meeting every morning to build our classroom family. We also gather for literacy, math, science and social studies, and writing lessons at the carpet. Our carpet signifies a safe and comfortable space for us to gather.

Unfortunately, the carpet we currently have is old, dirty, and beginning to deteriorate.

A circle time carpet is an essential part of any classroom and often has positive memories for many years after. We need help getting a new carpet to continue our community learning in clean environment.
