My Students

My students are clever, creative, and fun little balls of energy. We are in a Pre K- 5th grade, Title I elementary school located in northern Maine. Everyone receives free breakfast and lunch each day.

We work hard each and every day to become familiar with the school experience and environment.

We do a lot of small group work in our centers. I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My Project

Our classroom needs beautiful tables that will stand out in the classroom. With these colored tables it will be easier for them to recognize center activities as well as where supplies go. We already have shelves in each of these colors.

To have them all matching they can gain more independence by being able to navigate through the room’s activities and clean up on their own.

This will also make following directions as well as learning colors much easier.

We have tables and chairs in our room already but they are old and the finish is coming off making them hard to clean.

My nonverbal students will be able to tell me which color table they would like work at instead of pointing because they don’t know how to describe the brown tables that all look alike.
